An iQuanti Employee Spotlight | Lisa Dolbear, Senior Director, Content Strategy, shares her experience of navigating change, developing an audience-centric content strategy and working with clients as partners.

With over twenty years of experience, Lisa Dolbear joined iQuanti two years ago as Senior Director, Content Strategy. She stepped into a team in the middle of transformation. In her first six months, she built up an in-house editorial team and reworked how iQuanti approached content strategy, from internal workflows and new roles to new narratives and positioning in front of clients.

Creating Impact Through Consistency

Lisa arrived at a moment of restructuring, new processes, and new roles. “I came on board during a time of a lot of change, some low points, and some trying times,” she says. “Despite the challenges, I was committed to being a steady, positive energy. I wanted my team to know that I would stay the course and that they could trust me.”

The feedback she has received tells her it worked. “Based on my reviews along the way, and my interactions with everyone on the team, I achieved that, and that means more to me than just about anything else I’ve done here so far.”

A Modern Framework for Audience-Centric Content Strategy

Lisa’s focus at iQuanti has been building the audience-centric content strategy framework, work that remains at the center of her role on the Creative and Experience team. The approach has continued to evolve to keep pace with an industry that’s constantly changing due to emerging tech and AI.

“It has been one of the most dynamic professional experiences I’ve ever had,” she says. “It’s a very fast paced environment, requiring a tremendous amount of adaptability, patience and willingness to jump head first into new challenges.”

Most recently, Lisa created a proprietary tool that streamlines the content strategy workflow and brings in the most relevant methodologies and frameworks, so clients get audience-centric strategy that informs their creative production. “Say goodbye to static personas with a shelf life, and hello to dynamic audience profiles that can feed content strategy in real time,” she adds.

Focusing on What You Can Control

The lesson that drives her most is knowing where her influence ends. “You can only control so much. Focus your energy on doing the best possible job on what you can control, and learn how to adapt and roll with the punches for the rest of it without taking it personally.”

That mindset shapes how she leads. “In my role, I have to be thinking a quarter ahead, forecasting needs, predicting change, and planning the necessary pivots to keep our business on pace with our goals,” she says. “By staying focused on what I can own and influence week over week, I am putting myself in a better position to address our needs six months from now.”

Working at iQuanti has also taught her to speak up early when something isn’t quite aligned. “Have direct conversations soon and often when something feels off. It might feel messy or too direct in the moment, but it shortens the window of uncertainty and potential chaos that comes along with letting things sit for too long without seeking clarity or resolution.”

Seeing Solutions Come to Life

For Lisa, the most rewarding part of the job happens in the room with clients. “Getting to see new solutions come to life in front of clients… it’s that moment when you see that they are bought in, trust you and really want to go on a journey with you as a partner.”

Her team is a close second. “There are amazing folks on my team and other stakeholders I get to collaborate with. Working together to solve challenges and seeing my team grow their potential is right up there with satisfying the client.”

Outside of work, Lisa is a lifelong athlete: a former varsity track runner, an age-group marathoner, a 3X Ironman finisher, and a fitness instructor for 25 years. She loves building workouts, coaching others, and pushing herself to the extreme.

She currently competes in DEKA Mile events, functional fitness races that combine 10 workout zones with 1 mile of running, broken into short runs between each zone. The format is designed to test strength, endurance, and overall fitness. “So much of my strength as a leader and an innovator is born from the way I push myself mentally and physically,” she says. “I see my experience as an athlete and a leader as one and the same. They feed each other.”

She is also a huge Lady Gaga fan, and made her own costume from scratch to attend the Mayhem Ball last summer.

Lisa encourages new team members to treat the hardest moments on the job as part of their own personal and professional evolution. “Growth and potential rarely come if you keep yourself in the comfort zone. Try to look at your stressful, seemingly impossible moments here as opportunities to unlock new skills and strengths. You never know when your worst day might be a catalyst for the next best thing coming your way.”
